Location: Kennewick, WA – Fully In-Office
Pay: $31–$35 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Are you a detail-driven, experienced accounting professional ready to take your property accounting expertise to the next level? We’re looking for a Senior Property Accountant to lead financial reporting and analysis for a portfolio of residential properties. This fully in-office role offers the opportunity to work with a high-performing team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements for a designated property portfolio
  • Execute full month-end close: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Analyze property-level financials, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Generate owner and lender-specific financial reports as required
  • Manage cash flow: process debt payments, monitor balances, and initiate capital calls as needed
  • Prepare client distribution payments and reconcile owner accounts
  • Serve as the accounting lead for high-profile and/or complex assets
  • Support AP functions and oversee account closures for terminated properties
  • Collaborate with Regional Managers on annual budgets
  • Guide property managers on financial and accounting-related matters
  • Conduct periodic utility and lease audits
  • Provide cross-functional support to the Residential Services Accounting team
  • Communicate regularly with site managers and leadership to ensure financial transparency and accuracy

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
  • Minimum 3 years of residential property accounting experience required
  • Proficient in financial reporting and full-cycle accounting
  • Comfortable working independently in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with AppFolio preferred
